Take 10g dried and finely powdered Salvia divinorum (only leaves) and soak in 250 ml Methylenchloride (aka dichlormethane), or chloroform or the high flammable diethylether in a closed bottle or flask. Shake this occasionally (after one hour or so, even later)and let stand for 1 or 2 days. The time is not so important! Filter and soak the residue once more in the same amount of the same solvent. Make a filtration and wash the residue with 250ml liquid. Evaporate in vacuum or under normal conditions in a water bath. Then you give 5 ml Dimethylsulfoxid (DMSO), an untoxic substance, to the residue. Take a small flask because of the only 5 ml solvent. Rub the solvent with the residue and let it stand for many minutes. There's a little dark precipitate but it is not the active compound Salvinorin A. 2 options are possible: Filtration over a small paper filter or let it. In any case the 5 ml solvent contain now (each ml 20 drops) 100 drops with an active dose of about 0.3mg active diterpenes with about 0,2 mg Salvinorin A. Take then simple a drop of the solvent Sublingually. Held the drop on this site and soon a light warm feeling in the mouth will follow. The effects begin after 1-2 minutes and will end after 1-2 hours, in my case 2 times 1,5 hours. It is really wonderful ,but please in total darkness without interruptions or music. Do not use more then 2 drops, one is usually enough! Caution: take NOT the DMSO solution on normal skin in larger amounts because a resorption is likely also through the skin. May be we should test single drops so. It's really fantastic: Fresh leaves with lO g dry weight can be used only in 3 portions in the mouth-here are 100 applications!!!. 1'm sure that you will like this complete legal substance very much. Please write me your experiences in a LETTER, not the fax..... (you can store the mixture for some years at room temperature , not freeze, but always closed, no evaporation but hygroscopic behaviour) cRocs Notes: some people have tried this recipe with awesome results while others complained about the apparent lack of significant effects. Gartz suggested that habitual Cannabis smokers may be much less sensible to it's effects but this needs further research.
